A Home, Wall to Wall

Heading into retirement after years of running their own small business, this was to be the clients' forever home. They knew what they wanted, but weren’t sure how to fit it all together, and how to prioritize their wish list.

I worked with them closely on everything from saving some beautiful trees on their double lot to designing the built-in bookshelves and entertainment center, as well as a custom desk.

The design of the home consists of two peaked end walls that project a shape traditionally associated with the idea of "house." They create a zone between them in which a modern open floor plan, custom fit to the clients' lifestyle, was developed.
